What do I need to buy?
Nothing. Skycast sells no hardware — it runs on the TV you already own. Install the Skycast app from your TV’s app store, or open the browser player on any TV with a web browser.
Which TVs are set-and-forget?
Google TV and Android TV: install the Skycast app once and it can start broadcasting when the TV powers on. On other smart TVs you open the app or browser player yourself after a reboot — once open, it runs unattended.
My TV has no app store. Am I stuck?
No — the universal fallback is the browser player. Open player.getskycast.com in the TV’s browser (or on any HDMI-connected stick, console or mini-PC with a browser), enter the pairing code, done.
What happens if the internet drops?
The player caches your media and keeps looping the last playlist it received. When the connection returns, it picks up changes automatically.
How fast do changes show up?
Screens check for updates every 45 seconds. Edit a playlist and every TV showing it refreshes within about a minute.
How does the free trial work?
Every account starts with 14 days and 1 screen, no card required. Pick a plan when you’re ready — plans are flat monthly prices with a screen cap, never per-screen fees.
